This year’s Special Operations Group (SOG) Expo hosted by the US Border Patrol in El Paso, TX did not disappoint!

At this 4 day event we showcased our latest infrared innovations for Law Enforcement training with thermal devices which include:

Meeting Customers and Industry Partners

The interactions I had with loyal customers and new customers always pumps me up to continue our mission of “Protecting Those Who Protect Us.” It is nice catching up with old friends but more importantly I appreciate their valuable feedback.

These golden conversations help IR.Tools to stay in tune with the buzz in the industry and to drive future innovations.

Engaging with industry leaders is always a plus! These connections open up new doors and I look forward to future collaboration opportunities with Trijicon, Pulsar, and ATN.

Drone Manufacturers Impressed

One of the most exciting surprises at SOG 2024 was meeting several drone manufacturers. I demonstrated the features and benefits of the NIST thermal training discs, 2D Dummies, and vehicle thermal markers.

They were genuinely impressed! I’m looking forward to further discussions with them.

See below how the vehicle thermal marker stands out on top of the truck.

Striking Target Contrast Wins The Day

A highlight of the event was the use of IR.Tools thermal targets during range day. Against the backdrop of a perfect blue sky, I demonstrated the ridiculous contrast of our Upright E-type thermal target.

Thanks to Pulsar for providing the thermal scopes, and thanks to the shooters who were astonished by the striking contrast of the E-type target. The precision aim and overall performance in various scenarios were top-notch.

I even took a couple of shots and went 2 for 2! Needless to say, I was proud of IR.Tools on range day!

Future Events: SOFIC in Tampa Bay

Next stop? We are headed to SOFIC in Tampa Bay, Fla. May 7-9. We are partnering with Thermal Beacon at booth 1933 in the Israeli Pavilion. As the sole distributor in the United States, we will be displaying the multi-spectral active IFF Thermal Beacon.

If you are in the neighborhood stop by and check out this awesome active IFF protection.

Stay tuned for thrilling updates as we gear up for future events, where we aim to continue pushing the boundaries for infrared identification and training.
